DECADES .....the event

The first of three, yep 3!!!!! nights ..
SO exciting & OH SO FUN
Linda Plummer and Abbie Cesena.......
two of the most amazing ladies we know, personally responsible for coming up with the idea for "Decades" and 'rallying' the troops to pull off 3 wonderful nights!
The whole evening was about Ken of course --- so Neil Thorson wrote a clever story-line, using video clips and live musical numbers, taking us on a trip through the DECADES - searching (a la "Where's Waldo") for Ken Miller, the 'reported' author of many of each decade's best loved songs....
We traveled from Russia..........................
(think "Fiddler on the Roof")........

to London .................
(think "Mary Poppins") ........
[recognize anyone on this playbill?]

WE EVEN FOUND HIS handprint in our
own backyard .... somewhere close to Kansas!!
A "Wickedly" funny picture.......
if we do say so ourselves!!!
Our favorite cast of characters!!!!
Each artists in their own right .....

Neil Thorson -- our illustrious playwright!
AND actor AND singer AND dancer.......
Jeff Poppinga .... our extraordinarily talented

and fearless musical leader, keyboardist & singer

Faith Christian Players ... presented a rip-roaring medley from 'Oklahoma'

They were MORE than just 'OK'.....

these high-schoolers are amazing!

and we have a tender spot in our hearts for them, having worked along side many of them at different events in the past few years

Staci Johnson gave a new dimension to the role of Miss Hannigan

We even re-visited 'Grease' ........

I think the guy in the poster looked remarkably similar to Ken ....

or was that the girl?

Move over "T-Birds" ....

Alex, Keegan,Mark & Paul rocked it!!

These 3 sassy ladies lit up the stage!

Shannon, Dahni, Kaylee

Jeff & Kaylee took us on a reminiscent ride thru the well-loved songs of Billy Joel......especially fun watching this charismatic father-daughter duo!

Our very own group of "Angels"

Our local "Acting Company" shared scenes and some amazing costumes from their current production of "Into the Woods"

which included a jaunt into the audience.....

our grandson (right down front) was mesmerized!!!

(and stayed up WAY past his bed-time!)

Ken kicked off 'half-time' with a special greeting & a bunch of Parkinson jokes (his own sick humor)......... a special part was having Kug pray for him ..... our church family @ GT are a huge support to us and they willingly hosted the "DECADES" event for us in their fabulous, new theatre!

Everybody likes to see pictures of themselves........

so here you are!!!!!

Thanks for coming ...... thanks for supporting us ......

Thanks for loving us..........thanks for praying for us ........

This sign says it all..........

So many hands ...... So many hearts

WE LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Next Stop................Stanford!!!!!
